Carry your creativity everywhere with a tote bag made by you! In this workshop, you'll design and carve your own rubber block, then stamp your original artwork onto a natural cotton tote using washable fabric ink — no experience needed!
We'll walk you through the whole process from transferring your image to the block, carving techniques for clean, confident lines, and the print tricks that make fabric ink behave (because printing on cloth is a different beast than printing on paper). By the end, you'll walk away with a one-of-a-kind tote and the skills to keep block printing at home.
We have plenty of inspiration and images for you to chose from, but if you would like to bring something from home, make sure it fits the 4 × 6 block. Simple images work best for fabric, so nothing too detailed or small.
