Learn to make a beautiful leather tote bag in this beginner friendly workshop. You'll work with your choice of rich black or warm tan cowhide to craft a sturdy, stylish bag you can use every day.
We’ll start by talking about the right leather for your projects and touch upon pattern design. Then, working from a pre-cut pattern, we’ll move onto the bag construction- there will be a lot of hand work in the class so be prepared for lots of hand punching of holes and stitching. You’ll learn the saddle stitch for construction, it’s the gold standard for strength and durability. Lastly, you’ll learn to cut straps and attach them with rivets. You’ll also have the option of adding a strap closure.
All tools and materials are included. Just bring yourself and maybe a snack as the class is on the longer side.
