In this workshop, you’ll explore the unique properties of tampico fiber, a softer, more delicate material perfect for creating beautiful brushes and smaller brooms. Unlike the sturdy broomcorn you may already know, tampico offers a gentler touch, ideal for dusting delicate surfaces, cleaning keyboards, or creating decorative brushes that are as useful as they are beautiful.
What You’ll Create:
A collection of handcrafted tampico fiber brushes and brooms in various sizes—from compact desk brushes to elegant hand brooms. Each piece features your choice of wrapped handle designs using leather cord in rich, natural tones.
What You’ll Learn:
• Working with tampico fiber and understanding its unique characteristics
• Advanced binding and wrapping techniques for clean, professional finishes
• Creating multiple brush sizes from one skill set
• Leather cord wrapping for decorative handles
• How to match fiber type to function
Who This Is For:
Perfect for returning broom makers looking to expand their skills, or anyone drawn to the meditative craft of traditional brush making. Previous broom making experience helpful but not required—we’ll teach you everything you need to know.

All materials including tampico fibers, binding materials, and leather cord for decorative wrapping. Plus coffee, good company, and expert guidance throughout.
