Ever been curious about wood burning? Want to learn how to make art with fire? Join Vallejo's own Liberty Pierson for an introduction to pyrography—the art of drawing and designing on wood using heat.
In this 3-hour beginner-level workshop, Liberty will introduce you to the Walnut Hollow wood burning tool. You'll learn how to use the tool safely and effectively, explore different tips and techniques, and discover how to create clean, beautiful designs on wood.
Liberty's teaching style emphasizes simplicity and accessibility, breaking down each part of the process so it feels approachable and fun rather than intimidating. You'll have plenty of time to practice with the tool and get comfortable before creating your own pieces.
By the end of the workshop, you'll complete two projects to take home: a 3-inch wooden trinket that can be hung or attached to a magnet, and a raw edge wood plaque ready to hang on your wall. All materials and tools provided—just bring your creativity!
Join us on Saturday, May 9th from 11 - 1:00PM at THE EXCHANGE 617 Marin Street in Old Town Vallejo.
As always space is limited and we tend to sell out so sign up early before all seats are gone. Sign up by April 25th and snag the $55 early-bird rate - future you will thank present you.
Please understand that buying a ticket to an event or workshop is no different than buying a concert, theater, or movie ticket and we are unable to offer refunds. You are of course always welcome to gift your seat to a friend if you cannot make it!
