Adventures in Cyanotype: Explore this 19th-century UV-powered photo process, no darkroom required. In collaboration with local potter Kristin Young of Love YAAH More Ceramics, you'll print on paper, fabric, and a handmade ceramic piece using plants, objects, and anything with an interesting shape. Extra ceramic pieces available to purchase in class if one just isn't enough.

Skip the store-bought belts and make one that's unmistakably you. You'll cut, punch, stamp, and stain your way to a belt that will last you a lifetime! Learn essential leather working skills along the way; measure like a pro, cut a strap with precision, tool with design and alphabet stamps, attach hardware and apply antique stains.

Explore the unique properties of tampico fiber, a softer, more delicate material perfect for creating beautiful brushes and smaller brooms. Unlike the sturdy broomcorn you may already know, tampico offers a gentler touch, ideal for dusting delicate surfaces, cleaning keyboards, or creating decorative brushes that are as useful as they are beautiful.

Zine and Be Seen is a casual DIY creative session where your creativity is the guide! All ages and skill levels are welcome, this is very beginner friendly. During your time, you will learn how to turn a basic piece of paper into a classic 8 page mini-zine. What's a zine? A zine is a DIY booklet about anything you want. It could be full of writing, art, a mini junk journal, an info dump, a collaborative effort between pals. I mean, literally, it is anything you want it to be. Skim through the Zine and Be Seen library for inspriation or to try your hand at different zine folding methods. The basics are provided (paper, scissors, glue, writing/coloring pens & pencils, magazines, etc.), but you are welcome and encouraged to bring any extra materials you might like to use. $5-10 suggested donation, no one turned away for lack of funds. Enter the world of Homer and beyond to discuss the wider world of ancient Greece—its archaeology, philosophy, history, democracy, theatre, and enduring cultural legacy—while considering how these ancient epics continue to inspire everything from modern fantasy and superhero films to Christopher Nolan's Odyssey adaptation.

Your stage. Your voice. Your community. August’s Sound Sessions opens the floor to local performers, poets, singers, storytellers, and anyone with something to share. This is your chance to try out new material, share your art, or finally do that thing you’ve been thinking about doing.

Sign up for a 5-7 minute slot when you arrive. Bring your acoustic guitar, your poetry notebook, comedy set or spoken word- whatever form your creativity takes. Performing or just here to support? Either way, you’re part of creating something special!

It's time to face the shoebox in the closet. Join us for Craft Cleanse, a swap-and-sell (free) event for anyone with more craft supplies than time to use them.

If you'd like to sell, reserve a table — it's free, no tabling fee required. You'll set your own prices and handle payment directly with your buyers, so bring whatever payment method works for you.

Prefer to just let things go? Drop them at our Free Table, no reservation needed, and feel free to take home a few new-to-you finds while you're there. Please have your items organized- we'll have specific areas to drop your items (ie. yarn, art supplies etc)  Anything still on the Free Table at the end of the day will be donated to a local re-use center, so it's a win either way.

One friendly note: we're asking everyone to bring usable supplies only — gently used is great, "why do I still have this" is great, let's keep the good stuff moving to people who'll love it.

We'll have plenty of materials to print with, but feel free to bring a special object of your own. Each participant takes home several paper prints and a fabric piece to turn into a patch or whatever inspires you. No experience needed, all materials provided!
